Related: Elden Ring Fixes Bloodborne's Chalice Dungeons With One Easy Changeīringing a Bloodborne sequel to PlayStation consoles and PC simultaneously would let a much wider audience of FromSoftware fans experience the bloody role-play series. A follow-up to Bloodborne could also lean into the game's Lovecraftian inspirations by focusing more on the sea in an aquatic or coastal setting. Lands beyond Yharnam, like the sandy realm of ailing Loran, could be an excellent place to visit in a sequel. The world of Bloodborne is extremely fascinating and diverse, so there are many avenues for a potential sequel to explore. While a release date for Bloodborne on PC would give some fans a brand-new way to experience the beloved title, creating an actual sequel could give everyone a fresh experience. While another studio could handle the port, like Demon's Souls remake developer Bluepoint Games, it would be redundant following FromSoftware's efforts to repair Dark Souls multiplayer game servers and the anticipated release of Elden Ring DLC. This makes it unlikely for the Bloodborne developer, and its director Hidetaka Miyazaki in particular, to take the time to remaster the gothic masterpiece for PC. The open-world soulslike epic launched to wild acclaim back in February, and FromSoftware is expected to continue supporting the game through patches and downloadable content. While Bloodborne is an extremely unique game in terms of atmosphere, it shares a lot of DNA with other FromSoftware role-playing games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring. It seems far-fetched that Sony would move backward and deliver a PC port for a game from 2015 when newer and more relevant titles, like Horizon Forbidden West or Ghost of Tsushima, would appeal to a wider crowd if they made the jump to PC.
